Alyeska Ski Trip

Hi, Everyone- Below are a few details for this weekend's trip to Alyeska...please review the attached roster.

Sign-up has closed. If you are on the list and will not be attending please let me know ASAP.
The conditions at Alyeska are variable (between hard-packed snow and ice), and I would not recommend this trip for beginners or even those skiing for the second or third time.

Attached are permission slips for the event (Troop 219, Alyeska Rental and Challenge Alaska).  If your son is going on this troop event, please download, print, fill out the forms, sign them and bring them with you on Friday to the church.

We are meeting at 5:30 PM Friday night at Joy Lutheran church to head out.  Bring your ski /snowboard gear and overnight sleeping bag, pad, pillow & gear.   The boys & adults will be spending Friday and Saturday night in the Challenge Alaska Ski Center...skiing all day Saturday…and returning home Sunday between 11-noon.

The troop will supply Friday/Saturday night dinners & Saturday/Sunday morning breakfast.  The boys are responsible for their own lunches.

I will also need several drivers to help transport the boys to Alyeska and back. Please let me know if you can volunteer your time.

I will send out a second email with additional details to the scouts who will be attending the event.
