Scout Meeting Sunday 6:30 - 8:30 PM See attached roster for Saturday's Scouting for Food. This is our biggest community service project of the year. The day kicks-off at 9:45 AM and ends 4:00 PM. SO far we have 19 scouts signed up...just about right. BUT, we have way too many signed up for the AM shift (11). Please, a few of you consider moving to the 12-2 or 2-4 shift so we can balance things out...6-8 per shift is about perfect. Some scouts didn't put a time down, so I put them where needed. Additionally, we have a small Girl Scout Troop joining us in the afternoon, but I don't know how many > they will work the store doors. We also need a couple of T219 adults for the afternoon shift(s)...so far we have NONE. If you haven't signed up yet (scouts & adults), we have plenty of room for ALL volunteers. Let me know ASAP any updates, shift changes, and/or additions-deletions. >text or email< Class"A" uniform is the thing to wear...bring a jacket, water bottle & snack. - Please review the attached roster for the shift schedule and let me know the AM shift changes... Thank You...... YIS, Steve Puterbaugh SM, Troop 219 ER, AK 907-351-8826 Scouts and Scouting Parents,
The Rock Gym overnighter is quickly approaching and I would like to get some basic information out to the troop for this event. For those scouts/parent staying overnight AND that are 14 + years old, it’s highly recommended to become belay trained. The training is held M-Friday 7-9 PM, Sat 1-3 PM. Cost is $10 and last as long as certification remains on file. AK gym staff recommends getting this ahead of time before the event night. Let me KNOW who gets trained this week & who needs training Saturday evening. We'll meet Joy Lutheran Church at 7:30 PM Saturday April 23rd to rendezvous, collect troop permission forms, rock gym waiver paperwork (minor & adult), and $25 (covers the rental cost and food). This is an overnight event until 9:00 AM Sunday morning - we should be departing rock gym around 8 AM. We have limited drivers, so parents are responsible for transportation or arrange carpooling to & from the rock gym. Bring cash, check, or use Scout Account if you have a positive balance. Food will be provide by the troop and is included in the $25. It's best to eat a little dinner at home before you come out. Saturday's midnight food will be cracker barrel style with snacks with hot dogs, cheese and cracker and other goodies. Sunday breakfast – simple and tasty, quick and easy.
