Scouts and Parents,
We have participated in multiple events this month to include, Roadside Clean-up, where 14 boys cleaned our assigned root from VFW up to Lions park on Eagle River Road; A hike last Sunday to Mount Baldy in which 10 scouts participated and finally, Mr. Estes worked with 7 boys on their Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge taking them to the Coast Guard Command Center located on JBER see the attached picture. We will be hitting the ground running as school begins. Any feedback you have for the troop please feel free to reply to these emails. By the end of this week following tomorrows Troop 219 Committee meeting you will have a notional calendar which takes us from present to to July 2017. Items may change periodically but I would rather you have an idea of what you and your scout can participate in and include this in your planning for their individual school events and your family vacations. Trying a more concise way of providing information by linking you directly to the information especially in cases of Council Events. This event is in just over a month away. We will be building chariots to compete. Parents please read with your scouts and let us know how you can help. Some of the prep may occur outside of the Sunday Scout Meetings. Fall Camporee: This years theme is Gladiator Games When: Scheduled for 23-25 September Where: Sutton Cost: $15 per scout Note: Uniform Class A. Troop 219 will register the scouts as a group/do not register your scout.
