April 2017 Updates

4/24/2017

Join me in congratulating Mr. Carl Lundgren who received the Eklutna District's highest award;  he received the District Award of Merit.  Hope everyone enjoyed their Easter Weekend.  Looking forward to seeing all of the scouts and families.  There is no published schedule as the newly elected scouts will meet with adult leadership to plan some specific activities they would like to see during the upcoming months.  Please join us at this weeks committee meeting if you have any new ideas you would like the troop to consider.  Meeting information at the end of this email.  You will most likely receive this email twice as the cc:  listing is the new published email addresses.  I am ensuring that the list I have been using matches the new one.

Scouting for Food 2017

4/1/2017

Scouts and Parents

We need additional scouts and parents to ensure we successfully help our local food banks.  We are a little "thin" with scouts for the first shift.  This is our most visible community service project Scouters participate in during the year.  All the food collected stays in Eagle River.

Calling all scouts:  We have an Eagle Scout on Board lets have a good showing by all scouts.  Please respond to this email if you can help

We only have 2 adults signed up for shifts please consider signing up to help.  Uniform is Class A and please wear appropriate rain/or outerwear.

Scouts bring a snack and a water bottle
