I want to extend a special thanks to Mr. Mike Foster for making the arrangements for the Eureka Winter Camping trip. My understanding is we had 8 boys attend and the evening temperature was a -22 degrees. Boys earned 50 points toward their "Hundred Below Patches". Thank you to Mr. Nevells, Mr. Smith, Mr. Blaum, and Mr. Strickland for accompanying the Scouts. How many Scouts in the U.S. can say they camp in 22 below temperatures? Troop 219 Rocks. More information to come but the next winter camp out will be at Turnaigan Pass in February...Snow Caves (we want snow).
