Scouts and Parents,
We absolutely understand this is a very busy time of the year. Currently we have 13 new scouts who have been very dedicated to come to many of our summer meetings. We would be absolutely thrilled to see more older scout participation as we prepare to enter a new school year. It's Roadside Clean-up time again. Please remember to be on time for this meeting because scouts form, receive safety vests and proceed in groups and begin the cleanup within 15 min of arrival. Parents are welcome to walk with Scouts. Bring a pair of work gloves as the scouts will be picking up trash. Uniform Class B and the time of the meeting start is 6:00 pm. Following the pick up time permitting the plan is to play ultimate Frisbee. Scouts we truly appreciate your time and parents don't hesitate to submit suggestions, ideas, comments to me using this email. Very proud to let you know that 6 Scouts from 219 are off to the National Jamboree in Camp Bechtel, West Virginia; they began this weekend by touring D.C. They are joined by 32 other scouts from throughout Southcentral, Juneau, Kodiak and Ketchican. Hoping all are enjoying this wonderful weekend and the Bear Paw. Our SPL has requested I send this meeting notice to all... please read the forwarded email. Perfect time for scouts who went to camp to sign off requirements. Please bring your books. Please note that Travis Arntz lost his book during camp it is inside a green scout cover with his last name on it. We also had another scout Jacob Eliassen who lost a pair of scout pants at camp. I have two books one without a name but the Scout was born Oct 7, 2003. Also I have Roman Kean's book. I will bring both to tonights meeting YIS Lou Rivera-Murray Troop 219 Committee Chair 907.748-4350 |
