The COH-Christmas Party is moved to Joy Lutheran Church. (This Sunday 13 DEC) Due to circumstances beyond our control, Camp Gorsuch is double booked for this Sunday. New start time will be 1:30PM. Bring plenty of sides & your drinks. Also there will be a gift exchange ($15), so bring a gift / get a gift. Set up crew show time is 12:15 PM, so it would be great for a dozen or so scouts & adults to show up early to give Juliann a hand setting up. We will use the fellowship hall & sanctuary like the last COH, so be flexible and we will make this a great event. We will have a .22 rifle door prize drawing using a deck of cards...$10 each, 2 for $15, or 3 for $20...get your cards at the door. Text or call with any questions...... Thanks...... Thanks, Dayton Denter Hi, Everyone - Congratulations to all the Scouts who attended last
week's Rapids Camp winter camp out. The temperatures dipped down to -1F for a total of 33 points below freezing. It's a great start to the winter season. We had a fun time in the snow and I'm very proud of how the Scouts worked together in building their shelters (a.k.a - "forts" to the 1st year Scouts). I especially want to recognize Jake Herr in building his first quinzee shelter and sleeping in it all night! Thank you to Mrs. Shaw, Mr. Sellers, Mr. Strickland and Mr. Wing for braving the event...we had a great time. Attached are a couple of photos. YIS Mr. Lundgren |
