Only 2-Scouts signed up for this weekend Eureka campout event. This will be Fri-Sat...Mr Foster will lead. Let me know if there's other scouts and adults interested. This is another opportunity to get those 100 below points. Winter events haven't worked out so well for us this year. Let me know ASAP Wed-Thur if we have enough interest to make this happen. Plus we'll prolly need an additional driver or two. Let me know soonest, so I can coordinate with Mr Foster. Thanks...... P. S. Rocket building will take place this Sunday starting at 6:00 PM. -Steve P
Hello Troop 219 Families,
Hopefully everyone is ready for an enjoyable Spring Break! As we spring forward into our next activities, please keep in mind that a complete BSA Health Form including Part A, B & C is required for summer camp. This form includes a physical that must be completed by a healthcare provider. Our camp dates this year are 11-16 July 2016. If your physical expires at any point prior to July 17, 2016 - you need a new physical. Physical forms are only valid for exactly 1 year. The BSA does not accept different physical forms attached to the BSA form. All scouts must use the BSA form attached to this email. The deadline for our Troop members to have their forms complete and turned in is May 22, 2016. I’m not usually at meetings for the entire meeting, but I will be at each meeting at the beginning to receive forms, beginning at the 3/20/16 meeting. If you need to set up a time outside of scout meetings to meet me to turn in your forms, I can do that as well. Some very specific points about these forms: Take the time to review the forms and make sure all signatures are filled in. Make sure you have the most recent Tetanus date noted - at minimum - on the immunization section. All immunizations must be up-to-date. “As needed” medications that you intend to send to camp must be noted on the forms. If your family chooses not be immunized, please contact me for the appropriate exemption form. All of the forms will be reviewed for completeness prior to camp. Please contact me via email if you have questions. I’ve attached the BSA Health Form for your convenience. Thank you for your time. Brandi Estes Health Information Coordinator Troop 219 Scouts and Parent,
