Hello Troop
We will be meeting at the church at 6:00 tonight to pack the trailer with our troop gear. If you are bringing a bike you need to bring it tonight so we can put it in the trailer. For anyone going to camp this is a mandatory meeting. Make sure to bring all of your paperwork (Permission Slip, Code of Conduct, etc). Tonight we will review details on camp, merit badges, and packing the trailer. Perry Lundgren SPL Troop 219 Sorry One More Note Make sure that if you have a blue tarp to bring for the inside of your tents. Perry Lundgren SPL Troop 219 Troop 219 Parents,
If you are sending medications with your scout to camp - whether regular dose medications or as needed medications, please bring those with you to the Sunday, July 10th meeting. We will need to make sure the Scoutmaster and/or Assistant Scoutmasters are aware of the medications, and will then handle packing medications up. Thank you for your time. Brandi Estes Dear T219 Campers: Please print this email and attachments and review them with your parents. When/Where: The departure date for camp has changed: We will be leaving Monday morning, July 11th. You will need to be at Joy Lutheran no later than 6:30am. Scouts should have eaten breakfast before arriving at the church. Lunch will be served at camp. Sunday, July 10, 6-8pm is a mandatory meeting for all campers to turn in final paperwork, pack the trailer with Troop gear and secure bikes in the bike trailer. Permission Slip/Code of Conduct Forms: Print and review the troop permission slip and code of conduct forms with your parent. Please provide both primary and secondary contact information on the permission slip. Both scout and parent have to sign the Code of Conduct form. Bring the signed forms to Sunday’s meeting for check-in. Packing List: Attached is the standard packing list for camp. There is one in the Denali Parent and Leaders guide that can used. Leave anything cotton at home, including sweat pants and socks. Electronics other than cameras are strongly discouraged. If you bring them you are responsible for them. (Remember, camp can be wet.) Also cell phone service is limited. All your personal gear should be packed in one or two duffle bags. No more that two bags will be allowed. A cot is recommended. This helps keep you dry and allows you to stow your gear underneath and keep it somewhat organized. Please limit snacks and choose healthy options. No sodas or power drinks will be allowed. We will be in bear country and snacks will be kept inside the camp facility. Store your food in a sealed bag with your name on it. Merit Badges: Please read Mr. Puterbaugh’s email (July 1st) and get back to him if you need to change merit badges. Some of the scheduled merit badge options have been cancelled. As always, if you have any questions please feel free to contact me via email or home phone (696-3786). YIS, Mr. Lundgren P.S see this Youtube Video on Denali Camp…you may recognize a few of the older scouts.

Just in from camp > Please review the >attached< Denali Merit Badge Schedule for upcoming summer camp. Camp staff eliminated about 1/3 of the initial offerings & left others blank. Most scouts got at least 1/2 of their initial selection(s). I filled in the rest of what was offered. I didn't have time to go back to each scout, so I did my best at the time. If you already have a certain MB or want to change...SEE the email trailer below. This is what's open as of yesterday. I don't know how many slots are available of each. Let me know ASAP what your change to the change is, and ill do my best to accommodate your request. As you can see there are Morning MB's for T-W & Th-FR and Afternoon MB's for the same. So take a good look at your schedule for for the correct day and morning or afternoon session you wish to change. 1st & 2nd choice mb's for your change would be helpful. Friday last session of the day is reserved for older scouts high powered rifle shooting. -Posted at the bottom are the scout's fees for specific mb's that use up consumables & ammunition Thanks............
