Crow Pass Hike - 2016

Hello Troop Adults,
 
We need your help!! There are currently 5 adults and 5 scouts who need a ride to the Girdwood trail head in Girdwood and from the Eagle River Nature Center after a grueling 26 mile hike over the Chugiak Mountain range. Currently we have only one driver with 4 seats, and in need of a few more cars. If we do not have drivers then this trip will need to be cancelled…..  :(
 
We will be meeting at the Church at 6 AM on Saturday 25 June, with the goal of arriving at the trail head at 7.30. The hike takes anywhere from 10 - 14 hours (24-26 miles) which puts us arriving at the Eagle River Nature Center around 5 - 6 PM. Cell phone signal is sketchy out there so we'll figure out more as the time arrives.
 
As most are aware, the Crow Pass Trail (Adventure Hike) is open to the older scouts whom have already earned the Hiking MB and whom have proven their abilities to hike extended miles over one day. For those younger scouts who are chomping at the bite to hike this trail… your time will come :) keeping, hiking and active in the outdoors and you'll be hiking these grand trails soon enough.
